“They slaughtered four sheep”

The breeder and member of the board of directors of the Valencian Peasants Association (AVA-ASAJA) Antonio Miguel Alvarowarned of a new wolf attack on livestock on his Aras de los Olmos farm in the Los Serranos region.

Relatives and workers searched for the rest of the animals and counted those that died due to the attack. As these facilities are only 2 kilometers from Aras de los Olmos, the residents of the municipality alerted the farmer that they had seen sheep roaming free in the urban area.

Álvaro also clarified that the injuries are identical to the previous event, a bite to the neck caused by large fangs that cause the animal to suffocate due to the pressure. The breeder explained that the way the dogs attack “is totally different from that of the wolf. “The dogs leave many animals with a multitude of bites and I have not seen any injuries, only slit throats.”
