“If he can follow Bagnaia…”

Pedro Acosta suffered two falls this weekend in Japan. The first in the sprint, when he was close to victory; the second in the race, while running behind Pecco Bagnaia. Two errors which Daniel Pedrosaalso from KTM, understands perfectly.

The former MotoGP rider believes this is the way forward for the young Murcian rider. He said it in terms reported by ‘Motosan’: “He was always ahead, put pressure on the Ducati and forcing himself to enter the group of the first…”.

“He forces the KTM to the maximum to be with the Ducati and that makes you make mistakes and knocks you down. In any case, this whole experience will be beneficial for him,” says Pedrosa.

He wants to “think positively” and once again highlights the brutal pace he showed, placing himself among the best: “I appreciate it positively, because he was at the front, with a sustained pace. With the possibility of victory, especially yesterday. Today, I don’t know. We could see why he fell so early.”

Even keeping up with Pecco. The Italian shone this weekend in Motegi: “I followed the pace of Bagnaia and the Ducati in these first laps…”

“He’s a beginner and well, In Australia it’s a slightly different race to this, it’s harder to tell the difference. “Here he had the chance to get on the podium, yesterday and today, but he couldn’t take advantage of it,” Pedrosa says of a rider who will ride the official KTM next year. Factory is betting on him as a driver of the future.
