The Almodóvar del Río Castle is preparing to experience two nights full of mystery and terror on November 1st and 2nd. Under the name of “Black Moon”the historic fortress will open its doors from 8:30 p.m. to offer a unique immersive experience in which participants will explore its passages and towers under the faint light of the moon.
Towersbattlements and dungeons will be the setting where legends will come to life in the imposing castle. Men Rodríguez de Sanabria, butler of Pedro I, King of Castile, invites visitors to enjoy the next “Black Moon”.
Its Arab origin and its strategic location on top of a hill make it a privileged witness to great battles, conspiracies and events. secrets which have persisted over time for more than a thousand years.
This castle has been the scene of many events throughout history. It was the prison of Doña Juana de Lara, wife of the king’s half-brother. Peter Ialso guarded the treasures of Castile and its dungeon saw prisoners such as the 1st Duke of Benavente pass through.
Participants will have the opportunity to visit the passages, towers and rooms of the castle. The enigmatic butler, through his story, will immerse participants in an experience full of shocks in every corner of the fortress.
Visitors will be involved in an intrigue of secrets, betrayals and legends that have marked the life of the country. Almodovar Castle during the reign of Peter I of Castile.
The price of tickets is 15 euros. The passes, lasting 1 hour and fifteen minutes, will take place every 10 minutes and will start at 8:30 p.m. on both days. A maximum of 12 people per team and the time will be assigned from the box office and will be communicated by telephone the same week of the event. This tour is not suitable for children under 14 years old.
