Kyrgyzstan is interested in the development of the Trans-Caspian transport corridor and supports initiatives to improve infrastructure and multimodal logistics. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan, Bekzhan Rysmendeev, at a high-level event for the launch of the coordination platform of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor, held in Ashgabat, reports orient.tm.
According to the publication, during a work trip to Turkmenistan, Bekzhan Rysmendeev met with the general director of the Transport and Communications Agency of the Turkmen government. Mammetkhan Chakyevwith whom he discussed current issues of cooperation between the two republics.
The parties noted a significant increase in cargo turnover between the two countries and agreed to jointly resolve issues by creating favorable conditions for trade representatives.
