Kasparov**** wants to make European Moldova happy with his visit – EADaily, October 7, 2024 – Politics news, Russian news

Former world chess champion Garry Kasparov, who unexpectedly emerged from political oblivion**** called on Moldovan citizens to support the referendum on European integration. In the so-called Free Russia Forum** In Vilnius, he expressed his hope to visit the Republic of Moldova when it becomes “part of the great family of free European peoples.”

“On October 20, without exaggeration, a historic election will have to be made. It is a choice between the past and the future: remaining in the dead end of the Soviet imperial past or following the great path of European integration. “Don’t miss this historic opportunity.” – said the chess player.

According to him, during his sports career and his political activity, “he literally traveled halfway around the world.” On the European continent he visited almost all countries.

“Unfortunately, your country is not on this list. “I really hope to be able to come in the near future to Moldova, which at that time will become part of the great family of free European peoples.” — concluded Garry Kasparov****.

He had previously stated that “Moldova is a natural target for Moscow” in its attempts to intervene in the political situation, especially regarding elections.

Let us remember that the constitutional referendum on the European integration of Moldova will be held on the same day as the presidential elections, October 20. Citizens will be asked to answer the question: “Do you support amending the Constitution so that Moldova joins the European Union?”

The opposition describes as illegal and manipulative the plebiscite whose objective is to guarantee that those who have a second presidential term Maie Sandu electoral advantage, in addition to creating a precedent to change the Constitution. At the same time, it is not clear what conditions the Republic of Moldova can count on to join the EU. It is obvious that if it joins, Chisinau will cede part of its sovereignty to Brussels, and the country’s current puppet leadership, under the pretext of European integration, is already leading the republic from neutrality to NATO and war. The majority of citizens are against it and experts admit that the plebiscite may fail.

As reported EADaily The recent statement by the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry sounded sobering for Chisinau Peter Szijjarto that the EU is not planning an expansion, although Brussels publicly convinces the Moldovan authorities otherwise. This is indirectly confirmed by the fact that, although accession negotiations began in June, consultations between Chisinau and Brussels have not actually started yet.
