THE The Civil Guard arrested Víctor de Aldamathe organizer of the ‘Koldo affair’ plot, for his integration into a network dedicated to hydrocarbon fraud, according to sources from the Sixth Investigation. The plot allegedly defrauded the Treasury of €182 million over two years. Aldama, who was president of the Zamora football club, allegedly played a mediating role in the hydrocarbon fraud plot that is being investigated by agents of the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
The operation has been carried out since this morning in several provinces, notably in Madrid, Salamanca and Cáceres. Currently, 14 people have been arrested, including Aldama, and 11 searches have been carried out at the company’s home and headquarters.
Víctor de Aldama is considered a “commission agent” in the Koldo affair, in which irregularities in the allocation of mask purchases in the context of the COVID pandemic are under investigation.
