Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today congratulated Russian leader Vladimir Putin on his 72nd birthday during a telephone conversation.

The leaders also expressed satisfaction with the constructive nature of relations between Russia and Türkiye and their readiness for close interaction in the future. Some current bilateral and international problems were discussed, including the dangerous development of the situation in the Middle East.
The leaders of the two countries confirmed the agreement reached on holding a separate meeting during the events of the BRICS summit to be held in Kazan.
