The best gastronomy in Spain has become this year the protagonist of the ninth edition of the Great Wishes Auction of the Petit Souhait Foundation. On October 14, the Rosewood Villa Magna Hotel in Madrid will host the auction, led by Christie’s, for unique lots: exclusive experiences created expressly for this annual meeting. The objective: to realize the wishes of 100 children seriously ill patients from hospitals throughout Spain in order to provide them with emotional support, which is the mission that this Foundation carries out. for 24 yearsin which they were able to share nearly 7,000 dreams.
The actress Anabel Alonsofaithful to this charity evening and its dedication, will be responsible for presenting it in the company of the director of Christie’s, Beatriz Ordovas. Both will present the experiences that have been offered by entities and personalities with all generosity. The Little Wish Foundation has been working since year 2000 fulfill the wishes of children with serious and chronic illnesses, in order to support them emotionally and make their illness more bearable. It is scientifically proven that the fulfillment of a wish generates positive emotions in children which have a huge effect on their well-being and their immediate environment. Over all these years we have already achieved nearly 7,000 wishes.
Children with serious illnesses spend a lot of time in hospital, undergoing long and painful treatments, far from their normal lives, experiencing moments of fear and stress.
