The Cortes of Castilla-La Mancha will hold on October 15 and 16 the first “Debate on the state of the region” of this 11th Legislature, as decided by the Commission of Spokespersons and the Commission of the Regional Parliament, which also set the agenda and convened a regular plenary session for this Thursday, with initiatives from the groups on health, roads and agriculture.
This morning’s meeting in the Sala de la Mesa de San Gil in Toledo, chaired by Pablo Bellido, qualified the proposal registered Thursday by the Autonomous Government for the celebration – like every year when there is no meeting of ‘investiture – of the debate on the general political orientation of the Council of Government, also called “Debate on the state of the region”, in which President Emiliano García-Page appears to make analyzes and proposals on the entire area of community management and maintain an exchange with the three parliamentary groups.
As explained by the Secretary of the Council after the meeting, Fernando Mora, the session will begin on Tuesday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m. and, maintaining the usual format, will devote a first section in the morning to the appearance of the President. , without time limit. After that, the session will be adjourned and will resume in the afternoon with the exchange with the spokespersons designated by the groups, who will intervene at fixed times. At the end of this first day, each group will have the opportunity to present up to seven resolutions which will be debated and voted on Wednesday 16. “Perhaps with the Budget Plenary, this is the most interesting debate organized each year in Parliament. “, recalled Fernando Mora, for whom this session will allow “a first assessment of the first year of the legislature, which for the Cortes and parliamentary work in general has been positive”.
