The charming Valencian municipality of Serra, cultural and natural heritage of the Camp de Túria region in the north of the province of Valencewas distinguished as the “The most beautiful city in the Valencian Community” after a popular vote which ended on Sunday October 6 on the Spain Tourism application.
In this first edition of the competition, almost 20,000 votes were obtained, of which Serra obtained 4,644, positioning himself as the favorite of users of the application.
The top four will qualify for a similar national competition, which begins the last week of November. Representing the Valencian Community, alongside Serra, the municipalities of Ayora, Cervera del Maestre and Ademuz will compete.

The Valencian municipality constitutes a natural and cultural treasure thanks to its privileged location in the Sierra Calderona. More than 90% of its municipal territory is located in the Sierra Calderona Natural Park, which makes the municipality one of the most important guardians of this protected natural area.
With a mountainous and rugged topography, Serra has its highest point at the top of Rebalersat 802 meters above sea level. The urban area of Serra, Characterized by its compact architecture which adapts to the curves of the terrain, it offers a picturesque image. The houses unfold parallel to the hills, creating a visual effect of climbing the mountain. From its surroundings, it is possible to see part of the Valencia plain, an image that combines nature and urban planning in perfect harmony.
In addition, Serra benefits from a strategic location in the Serra – Torres Torres corridor, a natural passage that historically connected the Palancia Valley to the Valencian plain. This corridor was for centuries the shortest route connecting Valencia to Aragon, used by walkers, travelers and armies throughout history. The different cultures that populated the Valencian lands found in this enclave a place of settlement and transit, further enriching the cultural heritage of the city.
