A pleasure boat alerted to the presence of the boat and the deceased in the water approximately 27 miles from Cabo de Gata
Maritime Rescue recovered the lifeless body of a man located next to a boat in which 16 other men of North African origin were traveling, found in the waters near Cabo de Gata, in Almeria.
A Sasemar spokesperson told Europa Press that around 10:55 a.m. a notice was received from a pleasure boat called “Kraken Solo Sailor”, in which it warned of the presence of the boat and the deceased in the water. 44 km southeast of Cabo de Gata.
The ‘Salvamar Spica went to the site, responsible for transport the men at the boat as well as to recover the body, with which he was able to set sail for the fishing port of Almería, where they docked around 3:45 p.m.
