Lawyer Aytaj Gurbanova spoke about the legal aspect of the issue. He noted that according to the legislation, severe punishments are applied to those who do not follow these rules. Thus, according to the Code of Administrative Offenses, a fine of 200 manat is imposed in such cases. If the same violation is repeated, the fine will increase to 300 manats.
What legal actions are taken if a stray dog hurts someone?
Aytaj Gurbanova said that if a person is harmed as a result of a violation of the rules, the dog owner is punished with a fine of 1,000 manat:
“By imposing this penalty, the legislation aims to increase the responsibility of dog owners and protect public order. Failure to comply with these rules by dog owners entails serious responsibilities and fines are imposed. The main objective of compliance with the standards is not only to act legally, but also to guarantee the safety of people in the environment.”
