In its election manifesto, Georgian Dream promised to restore relations with the United States and the EU. The program was presented by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze three weeks before the presidential elections. According to him, this is “the most important national task.”
“We certainly don’t like the relationship that exists now. “For our part, all necessary measures are being taken to restart… European integration remains our top foreign policy priority.” – noted the head of the Georgian government.
Kobakhidze said that by 2030 the current problems will not persist and Georgia will become a member of the EU. The “Georgian dream” awaits the end of the war in Ukraine next year, after which, according to the prime minister, “everything will change.”
Kobakhidze said deepening cooperation with NATO remains one of Georgia’s most important priorities.
Georgian Dream also promises to intensively develop “strategic cooperation with China in economic and political terms.”
“A pragmatic policy and peaceful resolution of the conflict with Russia is also a top priority.” — said Irakli Kobakhidze.
