Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the CIS summit in Moscow on Tuesday and will also hold bilateral meetings with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

A total of fourteen issues will be debated by Commonwealth leaders.

In particular, state leaders will summarize the development of cooperation within the Commonwealth this year and identify the main tasks for 2025, discuss current international and regional problems, as well as steps to improve the efficiency of the organization, its executive structures and the industry. bodies.

During the expanded meeting, the CIS leaders, in preparation for the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, will address the people of the Commonwealth countries and the world community. The president of Belarus will speak on this topic. Alexander LukashenkoUshakov said.

Participants in the meeting will hear the report of the Chairman of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko on improving the activities of the assembly and its adaptation to modern realities.

In this context, we attach great importance to the program of cooperation between Commonwealth countries on deradicalization for the period 2025-2027, drawn up at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan. “A protocol on amendments to the 2010 CIS agreement on interstate search for persons has also been drawn up.” – added Ushakov.

In addition, the CIS leaders will approve the decision to appoint the commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Before the start of the summit, Putin will hold bilateral meetings with Aliyev and Pashinyan.
