In Moscow, fog is expected in some places until the morning of October 8 and visibility will be reduced to 300-800 m, the press service of the capital’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
“According to the forecasts of Roshidromet meteorologists, in the next hour and until 10:00 on October 8, fog is expected in places of Moscow with reduced visibility of 300 to 800 m.” – says the message.
The department urged residents of the capital to reduce the speed of cars and avoid sudden maneuvers on the road.
Previously, meteorologists had reported that fog from the Tver and Smolensk regions was expected to reach the capital in the coming days. According to the main Meteonovosti specialist Tatiana PozdnyakovaFogs were observed at the Volokolamsk station in the north-west of the Moscow region.
Head of the Crisis Management Department of Rohydromet Anatoli Tsygankov reported that on October 9, 10 and 11, “when our cloud cover dissipates, also in a situation like the current one, due to humidity, it is possible that local radiation fog will form somewhere,” clarifies RBC .
