Armenians tried to smuggle drugs across the border into Iran

Two Yerevan residents, aged 38 and 39, were arrested for attempting to smuggle 14 kilograms of narcotics across the Armenia-Iran border.

Oku.Az In reference to “Sputnik”, it is reported that the Armenian Investigative Committee has published information about it.

It was reported that during the inspection of the car, 11 kilograms 680 grams of marijuana, 1 kilogram 150 grams of methamphetamine, 510 grams of opium, 530 grams of hashish, as well as tablets with inscriptions were found in their bags. Consideration of some of these points has already been completed, while the remainder is ongoing.

During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the detainees purchased the drugs from an Iranian national (whose identity has not yet been determined) who smuggled them across the border.
