THE Faculty of Nursing of the University of Navarra celebrated its 70th anniversary. More than 100 alumni gathered at the academic center to commemorate these seven decades of travel, during which nearly 8,000 professionals have been trained.
The celebration began with the words of Ana Choperena, Dean of the Facultywho thanked the efforts of all the nurses who helped the Faculty of Nursing to be what it is today and, above all, to preserve “Another way of being, another way of doing”, typical of the Faculty.
“We are a great community, a spectacular community of nurses who do not lose hope,” he emphasized. In this way he remembered the birth of the time Nursing Schoolin October 1954: “It all began in a small group of nurses, 19 students, all Navarrese, who, 70 years ago, began their studies as future nurses on Calle Leyre, in Pamplona. And also thanks to your contribution and your work, we are here today. With the maxim, with which we still live, of wanting to know more in order to know how to serve better.
This spirit of delivery, service and continuous improvement This is what the book that Jokin Sánchez presented during the celebration presents, with the title Another way of being/Another way of doing. 38 people participate, who have contributed through their personal experiences to remember these 70 years of history.

THE celebration ended with the presentation of an exhibition on the 7 decades of the Faculty, presented in the corridor between the Castaños building and the library building, as well as with an aperitif in the library room, where were displayed the names of the 7935 people who participated. studied in FFaculty of Nursing of the University of Navarra.
