Russian triathlete Yelena Smirnova died during the international competition at the “Ironman” distance in Barcelona, Spain.
Oku.Az TASS reports that the athlete died while swimming in the river.
Natalya Smirnova, sister of the 41-year-old triathlete, confirmed the news.
