He 29 year old man victim of a work accident this Sunday in Funes died last night, as reported by the regional police.
The worker was seriously injured this Sunday afternoon while working in a food company located in the Industrial zone of Cave Romana de Funes. His upper limb was stuck in a machine.
After his release, the emergency services carried out cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers and he was then transported by medical helicopter at the University Hospital of Navarra, in Pamplona, in very serious condition.

ELA calls for a rally
The ELA union called a rally this Thursday at 11 a.m.in front of the Palace of Navarre, to protest against the death of a worker in Funes.
The worker was seriously injured yesterday, Sunday, after his arm was caught in a machine, and he died on Monday.
As stated in a press release, So far this year, 15 people have died at work in Navarre“which continues to be the leader in workplace accidents”.
The union stressed that “the pitfalls continue to be one of the main causes of fatal accidents, completely avoidable thanks to basic safety measures.
“And this happens because businessmen not systematically respecting prevention rules and public institutions refuse to increase the means of inspection to control such non-compliance,” they criticized.
