During joint patrols in the Asia-Pacific region, Russian and Chinese warships practiced detecting and destroying submarines. This was reported by the press service of the Pacific Fleet (PF).
“In the northwestern part of the Pacific Ocean, warships of the Russian Navy and the Chinese Navy practiced anti-submarine missions as part of joint patrols in the Asia-Pacific region,” – says information from the Pacific Fleet.
According to published information, a tactical group of warships maneuvered and formed a marching order to organize anti-submarine defense. The Ka-27PL anti-submarine helicopter was used to search for the submarine of the mock enemy.
The tactical group on the Russian side includes the large anti-submarine ships “Admiral Panteleev” and “Admiral Tributs” of the Pacific Fleet. On the part of the People’s Liberation Army Navy, there are the destroyers “Xining” and “Wuxi”, the frigate “Lin Yi” and the integrated supply ship “Taihu”.
A group of ships from the Russian and Chinese navies began joint patrols in the Asia-Pacific region after the completion of the Beibu/Interaction 2024 naval exercises.
