“In the early hours of Tuesday (October 8), after 5:42 Moscow time, fluctuations in the geomagnetic field reached the level of a strong magnetic storm of class G3. And this happened again, contrary to the forecasts,” the expert wrote. .
Leus pointed out that the magnetic storm began yesterday afternoon. At that time, the hurricane reached category G2.
“According to the forecasts of meteorologists, on October 8 in the morning the hurricane should have passed into class G1 and in the afternoon it should have stopped completely. However, the Earth’s magnetosphere, on the contrary, has strengthened,” points out, the expert emphasized.
According to him, it is now difficult to predict the future behavior of the magnetic storm. However, Leus predicts that the increase will be short-lived and will begin to subside in the coming hours.
