The first sexual assault lawsuit has been filed in the United Kingdom against the former owner of the Harrods store chain, Egyptian billionaire Mohamed al-Fayed. The Daily Mirror newspaper wrote about this on October 31.
“The first letter of complaint was sent to Harrods. This is the beginning of the formal legal process. Another will follow today, another the day after tomorrow, and hundreds more will follow.” – said the lawyer Dean Armstrong at a press conference in London.
The accusations also come from Fulham Football Club and The Ritz hotel in Paris, which also belonged to al-Fayed.
The Egyptian billionaire died at the age of 94 in 2023. Al-Fayed’s death was reported on the 26th anniversary of the death of his son, who died in the same car as princess diana August 31, 1997. The bronze statue representing the dead lovers was in one of the rooms at Harrods from 2005 to 2018.
Mohammed al-Fayed represented the prosecution at the hearing into the death of Diana and her occupant in the car. Dodi al-Fayed. The businessman believed that the car accident in Paris, in which Diana and her son Dodi died, was prepared by the British intelligence services, Izvestia recalls.
