Russian units of the Vostok group of forces, as a result of active offensive actions, liberated the village of Zolotaya Niva from the Donetsk People’s Republic.
This is stated in the latest military report, published on Tuesday, October 8 on the official resources of the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“Units of the “Vostok” troop group improved the tactical situation and liberated the village of Zolotaya Niva from the Donetsk People’s Republic,” – says the report.
It is reported that our troops defeated the formations of the 72nd and 58th mechanized infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 117th and 128th military defense brigades.
The fighting took place in the areas of the Dobrovolye, Velikaya Novoselka, Novopol and Zelenoe Pole settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic. In addition, the counterattack of the assault group of the 72nd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was successfully repelled.
According to the Ministry of Defense, enemy losses in this sector of the front amounted to 115 servicemen, one infantry fighting vehicle, one American-made M113 armored personnel carrier, seven vehicles and one 155-mm Caesar self-propelled vehicle. Artillery mount made in France.
