The commission of inquiry of the Madrid Assembly into the alleged favorable treatment of the Complutense University to the wife of the President of the Government, Begoña Gomezwas created this Tuesday, with the election of members of the Board of Directors. During this constitutive meeting, the deputies who are part of the commission of inquiry, three from each parliamentary group, will establish the work plan and open a period of 10 days for the lists with the proposals for appearance to be presented.

The commission has already been controversial since its creation, since the PP with its majority decided that the D’Hondt law be applied to determine the work and appearances that correspond to each parliamentary group. From the latter party they have already denounced the PP’s attempt to cancel them once again, because their capacity would be reduced to a minimum.
The PSOE, for its part, with a team with a strong and aggressive political profile within the commission of inquiry, is already preparing its list of appearances and does not rule out summoning members of the Ayuso government, including the president of the Community of Madrid itself. . In the PP they have already warned that the regional president has no connection with the purpose of the commission and that they will therefore, as expected, veto her appearance.
Just before the creation of the commission of inquiry, Más Madrid explained that they had ceded the vice-presidency of the Table to the PSOE, with Jesús Celada as representative, because they do not have any particular interest in this parliamentary work , although they will participate in all sessions and they will come up with their own list of appearances.
Sources from Más Madrid stressed that the fact that the PP summoned Begoña Gómez in the first session shows that this commission of inquiry is nothing more than a “circus”, because if it were not , they add, the people would have waited until the end to request the appearance of the wife of the President of the Government, as a culmination.
