Journalist Rufik Ismayilov interviewed Rizvan Nabiyev, member of the international relations committee of the Milli Majlis and doctor of political science.

He spoke of Ganli village in Basarkecher district, where he was born. He said he received his early education at the high school in this village and lived in Ganli until he was 13 years old. The deputy emphasized that in the village great attention is paid to science and education, he studied well and as a child read most of the books in the village library. He said he and his family were expelled from their ancestral home on December 3, 1988 and sentenced to live as exiles.

Recalling that he later completed secondary education in Azerbaijan, received higher education, continued his education in Europe and participated in diplomatic activities, the interviewee said that the first education he received at the secondary school in Ganli village played an important role in all his successes. He said that during the years of diplomatic activity he co-authored 15 books in German and English on Armenia’s territorial claims against Azerbaijan and the history of Karabakh. He noted that West Azerbaijan has taken measures at the scientific and diplomatic levels to convey the truth to the international community in this way.

The deputy stated that the attitude towards the right of our compatriots to return to Europe is not entirely unequivocal. R. Nabiyev, expressing that the most important right of every person is to return to his homeland, added that since the deportation of our compatriots from West Azerbaijan, activities to calculate the damage caused to our country continue to this day. and our compatriots and submit it to the international court.

The deputy said that, along with the deportation of our compatriots and the occupation of our lands, Armenia committed large-scale mine terrorism against Azerbaijan and our peaceful inhabitants. According to him, from 1991 until now about 3,500 Azerbaijanis were victims of mining terrorism.

R. Nabiyev said that “Western Azerbaijan is the sacred land of the Fatherland, where our ancestors slept,” and confidently stated that our compatriots will peacefully return to their ancestral lands. According to the deputy, at this moment Armenia must guarantee the security of our compatriots together with Azerbaijan.

Deputy R. Nabiyev also referred to the inclusion of territorial claims against Azerbaijan in the Constitution of Armenia, as well as in other legal and political acts. He said a peace treaty cannot be signed without changes to the Armenian constitution.

It should be remembered that the objective of the Chronicle of Western Azerbaijan project is to preserve and promote the name of our historical lands, as well as the deportation of Azerbaijanis by Armenians, place names that existed in those territories, but their names have been erased. and countless examples of underground and surface material culture: ancient settlements, necropolises, mounds, remains of castles, palaces and fortifications, caravanserais, bridges, chests on tombs, statues of horses and rams, temples, churches, mosques, pyres and hearths. The facts confirming that the area is a purely Turkic-Oghuz settlement are revealed and communicated to the world community.

Also the president Ilham Aliyev Regarding Western Azerbaijan, he said: “The map of the beginning of the 20th century shows once again that Western Azerbaijan is the historical land of Azerbaijan, the names of cities and towns are of Azerbaijani origin and we know very well that Azerbaijanis on the territory of present-day Armenia throughout history people have lived. Now the main task is for the world community to also know it”, – in his opinion, it is about promoting the duties that arise from the Concept of Return developed by him. the Community of West Azerbaijan.

Furthermore, it aims to illuminate the thoughts of historians and researchers about Western Azerbaijan and the life history of the people who were deported.
