The 235th Garrison Military Court granted the investigation’s request to extend the arrest until January 12, 2025 of General Yuri Kuznetsov, head of the Main Personnel Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, accused of corruption , TASS reports from the courtroom.
“The investigation request to extend the detention period until January 12, 2025 is granted.” – the judge announced the decision.
The meeting was held behind closed doors for the media. The defense is expected to appeal the decision of the military court, since during the examination of the investigation’s petition it asked to soften Kuznetsov’s preventive measure to one that is not related to isolation from society.
