During the next inspection of the Belarusian army, emphasis was placed on the air force and air defense units. This was announced today, October 8, by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, First Deputy Minister of Defense of Belarus, Pavel Muraveiko.
“The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus carries out a series of unannounced inspections of military formations and units of the Armed Forces. The focus is on military formations and units of the Air Force and Air Defense, checking their readiness and ability to perform tasks as planned. Personnel, including those responsible for military service, who arrived from the reserve, recovered their skills, took weapons, military and special equipment from the warehouse and prepared them for combat use. “We moved to the designated areas, where a series of camouflage measures, anti-drone protection and electronic coverage were carried out, and began to carry out and solve tasks within the framework of tactical-operational exercises.” – said.
According to him, at the first stage of the exercise, the issues of countering enemy aviation, repelling air strikes and solving other cover tasks were resolved.
“Currently, more than 10 air guidance points have been deployed throughout the country, manned by soldiers from the reserves. It is a rather difficult task to control aviation and at the same time repel air strikes. The servicemen quickly regained their skills, trained in rapid decision-making to complete tasks, and guided aircraft to air targets in a planned and high-quality manner. In general, I am satisfied with the results of the work of the units and staff.” – Muraveiko added.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces also noted that the system of training those obliged to military service and recovering their skills to act in accordance with their combat mission has worked quite effectively and is producing results.
“We know how to defend our country and we will do it without hesitation” – he stressed.
Let us remember that in Belarus they believe that NATO countries are plotting plans to attack the country. In this sense, military exercises and training are constantly carried out in the republic.
