“The Azerbaijani city of Lachin will become the cultural capital of the CIS in 2025.”
Oku.Az Interfax reports that this was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the limited session of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS, held today in Moscow.
“Every year we choose the cultural capital of the Union, which becomes the center of bright, creative and humanitarian events that arouse great interest among citizens of all our countries. Currently, the cultural capital is Samarkand. According to the project decision, the city of Lachin of Azerbaijan will take over next year”, – said V. Putin.
