Rumors about the spread of the Marburg virus and the scandal with the “white party” organized by American rapper P. Diddy (Sean Combs) have nothing to do with the American elections. This is the opinion of American political scientist Malek Dudakov, who expressed to Pravda.Ru his point of view on two resonant events.
Dudakov dismissed theories that the spread of the virus could serve as a tool to distract from the election, noting that both sides of the political spectrum in the United States are trying to draw attention to their positions.
“Of course, he’s not a distraction at all.” – said Dudakov, adding that such theories have no relation to reality.
Speaking about the Marburg virus, he stressed that fears around it are largely due to media panic. Dudakov compared the situation to the Ebola virus outbreak, noting that the high mortality rate makes it less common.
“Now everything is repeated in approximately the same format.” – said.
According to the expert, the migration crisis in Europe increases fears about the virus, since a large number of immigrants from Africa could become a source of spread. However, the real threat to public safety in Western countries is small.
Answering a question about the scandal surrounding the “white party”, Dudakov noted that this event is more related to show business than politics.
“Still, this story with P. Diddy’s party is more of a scandal related to show business. “”, he emphasized.
The specialist pointed out that there really are friendly ties between the stars and politicians, but this does not have serious consequences for the political situation in the country.
Therefore, Dudakov summarizes, current events should not be perceived as a manipulation of society. This has absolutely nothing to do with politics.
