Polish security forces used weapons against a person who was on the territory of Belarus. This was announced today, October 8, by the press service of the State Border Committee of the Republic.
The institution highlighted that a video appeared in the information field the day before that showed signs of the use of firearms by the Polish army against people who were in the territory of Belarus.
“The content of the video clearly shows that automatic weapons were used directly through the Polish engineering barrier and the Belarusian state border passing behind it. “The State Border Committee officially declares that this is a border incident committed from Polish territory by an employee of the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Poland.” – says the message.
The Code of Civil Procedure also noted that an investigation into the incident is underway and witnesses and people affected by illegal actions are being identified. At the same time, a series of measures are being carried out aimed at determining the identity of the Polish soldier who may have shot a person in Belarus.
Let us remember that in 2021 the migration crisis began on the border between Belarus and the EU countries. Polish authorities have strengthened border security, bringing the military to the borders. At the same time, Warsaw accuses Minsk of artificially creating a problem and does not allow refugees to enter its territory. Belarus, in turn, rejects these accusations and points to the facts of cruel treatment of migrants by Polish security forces.
