The Minister of Justice and the Interior, Salomé Pradas, maintained a meeting with Valencian historical entities in which he highlighted the firm defense of the government of Carlos Mazón of the particularity, cultural wealth and history of the Valencian people, which will be reflected, among other measures, in the promotion of the law on identity signs on recognition, defense and promotion. of the autonomy of the Valencian Community.
Salomé Pradas has transmitted to you the lines of work of the Consell in this sense, which will be based, among other things, on the promotion and study of identity signs in collaboration with universities and institutions; the reactivation of the Valencian Civil Law Advisory Commission or the determined support for customary courts, such as the Water Court of Valencia, the Private Court of Orihuela or the Rollet Court of Aldaia.
The senior officials of these historic courts participated in this meeting, organized on the occasion of the October 9. The dean and vice-dean of the Royal Academy of Valencian Culture, the president and vice-president of Lo Rat Penat and the highest representatives of historical entities such as the Ateneo Mercantil, the Agricultural Casino, the Association Valencian jurists and the Cardona Vives Cultural Association.
The Minister of Justice and Interior guaranteed the defense, by the Consell, of the symbols, language, traditions and signs of identity of the Valencian people. Likewise, he stressed that the future law will ensure the protection and defense of the identity, values and interests of the Valencian Community, as well as respect for its cultural diversity and the promotion of its historical heritage.
