De la Torre, who was the last to speak, launched a tough talk against the Sánchez government and against the PSOE, which almost a quarter of a century after the assassination of her husband “continues to betray to all victims of terrorism, including those who died defending the ideas of their party. “For Pedro Sánchez, the first thing is him, then the PSOE, but not the PSOE before, but the one he is creating,” he warned.
“Since 2018, the PSOE has transferred all detainees to prisons in the Basque Country and, in 2021, it transferred responsibility for prisons to the Basque Government. This is how they wash their hands Sánchez and Marlaska,” he added, also criticizing the management of the Ministry of the Interior.

“Iragi is only 47 years old and has completed less than half the penalty to which he was sentenced: 54 years. He had already obtained a second diploma with which he enjoyed semi-freedom from Monday to Friday, only sleeping in prison. The other murderer, Igor Solana, has obtained the third degree since June 2024, sleeps in prison from Monday to Friday and has free weekends,” he lamented.
Neither forgiveness nor collaboration with justice
In his speech, De la Torre regretted that Sánchez “distorted the interpretation of the laws” for his negotiations in Congress with Bildu.
