The Azerbaijan Halal Business and Tourism Forum (AZHAB Forum) is held for the first time in Baku under the organization of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Tourism Agency and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (KOBIA ).
Oku.Az informs that the event was organized by “Caspian Event Organizers” LLC, the National Confederation of Businessmen (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the International Islamic Business Association, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICO), Statistics, The Economic and Social Research and Training Center for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) is supported by the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC).
Officials, specialists, representatives of academic circles and international organizations and businessmen from around twenty countries, from different regions of the world, participate in the forum.
The goal of the event is to contribute to the establishment of new cooperation in the field of investment and trade, the exchange of ideas and experiences in the corresponding field and to promote the attraction of foreign investments to Azerbaijan.
The forum began its work with the reading of verses from the Holy Quran.
The opening of the event was attended by Majnun Mammadov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ahmad Kavesa Segendo, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for Economic Affairs, Goshgar Tahmezli, President of the Food Security Agency of Azerbaijan, Zehra Zumrut Selchuk, the general director of SESRIC, Samad Bashirli, the deputy minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Caucasian Muslims, Haji Salman Musayev, the first vice-president of the board of directors, Taha Aykhan, the president of the Youth Forum of the Cooperation Organization Islamic, Mammad Musayev, President of the National Confederation of Business Organizations (employers) of Azerbaijan, Ihsan Ovut, Secretary General of SMIIC, and Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBIA, spoke. The speakers shared their views on the certification of halal products and services, standards in this field, import and export issues, competition in international markets, the role of innovation and technologies in the relevant field, investment opportunities and trends and prospects for cooperation.
In the exhibition part of the forum, which consists of two parts, a conference and an exhibition, products and services of about 30 companies from Azerbaijan and abroad are presented. The products exhibited at the exhibition mainly cover the food, textile, services, ICT and education sectors.
In addition, within the framework of the forum, the photo exhibition “Urbicide in Karabakh” of the Fund for the Revival of Karabakh will be presented in order to convey to the general public information about the damage to the material and cultural heritage of Karabakh, biodiversity and resources. natives of Karabakh. region during the Armenian occupation.
