At least seven people killed in IDF attack in Damascus

Seven people were killed Tuesday afternoon in an Israeli attack on a residential building in Damascus, the Syrian news agency SANA reports.

“At least seven people were killed and 11 wounded in an Israeli attack on a residential building in Damascus.” – says the publication.

According to the agency’s military source, three Israeli missiles hit a building in the densely populated Mazzeh district of the Syrian capital at approximately 8:15 p.m. local time (the same time as Moscow).

SANA clarifies that among the dead there are women and children, and the building was seriously damaged. Rescuers continue to clear the debris.

The Lebanese television channel LBCI reports that, according to its data, “a representative of Hezbollah Unit 4400 was the target of an Israeli airstrike in the Mazzeh area of Damascus.”

For its part, CNN writes that, judging by geolocation, the damaged building is located next to the diplomatic quarter in western Damascus, 640 meters from the Iranian embassy.

Meanwhile, the Al-Mayadeen television channel reports that a US military base in northeastern Syria was attacked.

“Explosions were heard as a result of an impact at the US base at the Conoco field in the eastern province of Deir ez-Zor,” — writes the television channel in reference to its correspondent.
