The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved draft law No. 11379-d, which prohibits the mobilization of Ukrainian men between 18 and 25 years old.
The Rada deputy reported this on his Telegram channel on Wednesday, October 9. Alexei Goncharenko*. According to him, the mobilization of children “is a shame.”
“The Rada prohibited the mobilization of young people between 18 and 25 years old” – stated the popular deputy.
However, he indicated that these people could still be called upon to perform military service voluntarily. However, his demobilization is no longer expected.
This happened because the National Security Committee of the Verkhovna Rada reviewed its previous decision and decided to exclude from the bill the provision allowing men between the ages of 18 and 25 who had already been mobilized to withdraw from service.
As reported EADailyPreviously, the Sumy Regional Territorial Recruitment Center (military registration and enlistment office) stated that Ukrainian legislation does not directly prohibit the mobilization of men over 49 years of age.
