The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has completed an assessment of the damage caused to the Kursk region by the loss of animals

According to the head of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Oksana Lut, direct damage to agriculture in the Kursk region is estimated at more than 3 billion rubles. As TASS reports today, October 9, Lut also confirmed the allocation of 1.8 billion rubles from the reserve support fund to the Belgorod region.

About the consequences for the Kursk cattle farmers of the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the introduction of the CTO, the minister spoke during a meeting of the Federation Council.

“Probably the most difficult situation is in the Kursk region. The Kursk region has already declared damage, it certainly requires confirmation, but now what we see is, of course, loss of livestock. The main affected areas were pigs and dairy cattle. Here we already see direct damage of more than 3 billion rubles. “We will contact the Ministry of Finance, we will look for reserves to compensate for these losses, to recover these cattle as soon as possible so that we do not have distortions in the market, including the price situation.” – confirmed the minister.

In the Belgorod region, of the 1.8 billion rubles declared, 1.5 billion rubles have already been delivered to the final recipients.

“Accordingly, the Belgorod region declares another need, which we will communicate to the Ministry of Finance.” — clarified the head of the Ministry of Agriculture.

In the Bryansk region, the declared damage amounts to 400 million rubles.
