The Lithuanian beach soccer team refused to play with the Belarus team in the 2025 World Cup qualifying phase.

“It is disappointing that our footballers cannot compete in the next selection phase and cannot prove their strength in the elite, but in this case values must remain above sport.
We discussed this decision with the representatives of the national team and agreed that taking such a step on our part will once again confirm our position on this issue,” Edgars Stankevichius said.
