For a few seasons now, the Formula 1 requires its teams to have their reserve driver participate in at least one free practice session twice a year.
During the Mexican Grand Prix, it will be the turn of Felipe Drugovitchwhich will be uploaded to the Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso during the first session.
At the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez, it will be the first time that the 24-year-old Brazilian driver will ride on a AMR24 who knows the simulator well.
“I’m very excited to drive the AMR24 for the first time. I’ve been waiting for it for a long time! “I spent the better part of a year working on the development of this car in the team simulator, so it will be valuable for me to feel the correlation between the simulator and reality,” Drugovich said in a video published by Aston Martin.
“The Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez is a track where I’ve never driven before. “It’s a difficult circuit with a mixture of long straights and technical corners, so I will spend some time in the simulator before the event to be ready for FP1,” he added.
