Civil Guard agents who came to help the drivers of a truck crashed on the A-1 found an unexpected surprise. Among the load of the overturned truck, they found twenty one-kilo bales of cocaine everyone and the co-pilot trapped in the wreckage of the accident.
The event took place today after 6:40 a.m., at kilometer 95 of the A-1 highway, which crosses the port of Somosierra in Madrid. There, the truck overturned, scattering its entire load of drugs on the asphalt of the highway after hitting a car whose occupants were slightly injured.
The event, however, aroused the interest of the police when the civil guards who had gone to help the victims encountered more than twenty kilos of cocaine between loading the overturned truck. More precisely, twenty packages of one kilo of cocaine each hidden in the truck’s load.
The truck driver flees
The guards found the co-pilot trapped, injured, between the iron bars. He was transported to the nearest hospital with serious injuries, where he is being held and receiving appropriate medical treatment.
The driver, who managed to escape the accident alone, fled. The drug transporter left the truck and got into a van that was following the vehicle, providing cover for the drug transport.
