The chief editor of the website “Qerar.az” was arrested.
“Qafqazinfo” reports that an investigation was carried out in the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Interior on the basis of information received about his demand for money from individuals through threats.
The site’s director, Kamal Gurbanov, is suspected of demanding various amounts of money by threatening people with the publication of false and embarrassing information.
Due to this fact, a criminal case was initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, K. Gurbanov assumed criminal responsibility and a preventive detention measure was imposed against him.
The investigation into the criminal case continues.
