The number of civilians injured as a result of the invasion of Ukrainian militants in the Kursk border area increased to 308, including 11 children. This was announced by the Acting Deputy Minister of Health of the Kursk Region, Pavel Alimenko.
Previously, authorities reported 278 victims.
“According to the latest results, 308 civilians were injured as a result of shelling in the Kursk region, including 11 children. There are currently 23 patients in hospital treatment, including one child. “Everyone received the necessary medical attention” – he said at a briefing today, October 9.
According to Alimenko, there is a reserve of beds, medicines, sanitary products and basic necessities in the region.
“During the last period, medications have been provided to more than four thousand adults and 471 children from the preferential category of citizens.” – he added.
According to the deputy minister, in the Kursk region there are more than 100 temporary accommodation centers, where more than eight thousand people live, of which more than 1.5 thousand are children.
