Irakli Kobakhidze: “They want to open a ‘second front’ against Russia in Georgia”

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, described the European Parliament’s resolution against Tbilisi as unfair.

Oku.Az According to I. Kobakhidze, this was what he said in an interview with the “Imedi” TV channel.

The Prime Minister of Georgia emphasized that the goal is to punish the ruling Georgian Dream Party and sponsor the United National Movement Party, led by former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.

I. Kobakhidze stated that behind the resolution are the forces that want to open a “second front” against Russia in Georgia.

“By adopting this resolution, they aim to influence the will of Georgian voters ahead of the parliamentary elections to be held in Georgia on October 26,” added the Prime Minister of Georgia.

It should be remembered that yesterday the deputies of the European Parliament (EP) approved a resolution on Georgia’s withdrawal from democracy and demanded the freezing of European funds allocated to Tbilisi.
