Russian President Vladimir Putin fired his country’s ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov.
Oku.AzAccording to the news, the corresponding decree of the Head of State was published on the official legal information portal.
“Anatoli Ivanovich Antonov should be relieved of his positions as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the United States of America and Permanent Observer of the Russian Federation to the Organization of American States in Washington,” the document said.
It should be noted that on October 5, the United States Embassy announced that Antonov was ending his mission in Washington. The next day, the diplomat returned to Moscow.
