Food safety in university residences: Why is it prohibited to bring food from outside?

The State Agency for Science and Higher Education has clarified whether food can be brought to the university residences or whether students can prepare food in the university residences themselves. University official Orkhan Mammadov noted that students were negligent with heaters in the dormitory, spoiled food created an unsanitary situation in the kitchen: “In addition, several cases of food poisoning occurred in the dormitory. Orján Mammadov also highlighted that the kitchen is tidy and the quality of the food is high.

“It is not prohibited for students to bring cold food to the residence,” he added.

In this regard, food engineer Farid Safarov states that it is difficult to control this directly in university residences, where it is not prohibited to bring food from outside or prepare food in the residence:

“Hygiene standards must be ensured in the dormitories. If necessary, training should be provided in this regard. Food, food and food products purchased at the buffet, prepared in the dormitories or sent from home must be healthy, clean and of good quality. Students must also strictly follow the conditions of cleanliness and sanitation.”

Aynur Mammadova, a doctor at the Department of Toxicology of the Clinical Medical Center, also said that it is a positive step to offer a high-quality food menu under the supervision of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in shelters under the supervision of the Department of Hygiene. and Epidemiology Center.

In almost all the poisoning cases we receive, students get poisoning from the same foods. The doctor also says that untimely feeding and poor-quality food provoke gastritis, which is called “student’s disease”:
