The promoters handed over certain documents from 2001 to the Community of Madrid
The Association of Neighborhoods Harmed by the Bernabéu has presented an appeal for reform to the Court of Instruction number 53 of Madrid in which it denounces that Real Madrid organized concerts in the stadium this summer with an expired license.
This document, dated 2001, as the neighbors say, according to El Confidencial and this newspaper was able to confirm it, was presented to the Community of Madrid so that it obtains the necessary authorizations to carry out the activity in this stadium. .
The call for reform was presented before the same court that admitted the complaint against the company Real Madrid Stadium and the general director of the white club, José Ángel Sánchez Periáñez, for environmental crime for the concerts, and which will declare the next 24 october.
In this same complaint, they requested that the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, and the councilor for urban planning, environment and mobility, Borja Carabante, be also indicted. However, the judge denied indicting the political representatives.
The neighbors have now filed an appeal in which, in addition to insisting on the responsibility of the last two, they include this new accusation. The association demanded a copy of the stadium operating authorizations provided by the promoters, verifying that this same document was “a decree granting a stadium operating authorization from 2001”. This would be treated as, as they insist in the document presented to the court and to which ABC had access, “prior to the work of 2019 and which is not yet completed”.
