“A citizen must pay alimony even when he is deprived of parental authority, because it is his duty to pay alimony. Therefore, the other party can demand payment of alimony.
Article 66.2 of the Family Code also establishes that the deprivation of parental authority does not exempt the parent from the duty to support the children,” the lawyer stressed.
It should be noted that according to the Family Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, parents, fathers or mothers whose marriage breaks down and live separately from their children are obliged to pay a certain amount of money, i.e. alimony, to support their children.
