Vucic signed a statement of support for Ukraine

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić participated in the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and signed a statement condemning Russia’s actions.

Oku.Az RBC reports that the text of the approval letter was published on the website of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.

The declaration consists of 18 points, among which the conflict in Ukraine is recognized as a crime against the people of the country, a violation of international law, including the UN Charter, and a major threat to peace, security and stability in the Southeast European region. , the entire European continent and the world as a whole. Summit participants also reaffirmed their commitment to continue multilateral support to Ukraine and its people as long as necessary. The parties supported the results of the peace summit held in June in Switzerland and declared their readiness to make efforts to implement the “Zelensky formula.”

In total, 15 people signed the document. In addition to Vučić, the presidents of Kosovo, Montenegro and Slovenia, including Vyosa Osmani, Jakov Milatović and Nataša Pirts Musar, joined the statement.

According to the information that Vucic gave to journalists after the summit, he managed to change several points of the statement, thus softening the understanding of sanctions against Russia.
