Two people arrested and banned from entering European territory for transporting marijuana

A patrol from the Teruel road detachment was surprised on October 2 when it found two people who had a ban on entry into the Schengen area. The events occurred at 3 p.m., at km 105 of the A-23, after the vehicle which was driving irregularly stopped.

After requesting vehicle and occupant documents, officers detected irregularities in the driver’s personal documents. Thus, they verified that it was indeed FAKE and that this earned him a ban on entry into the Schengen area.

Officers also conducted a search of the vehicle where they found 312 marijuana plants ready for its culture.

It is for this reason that these two men, aged respectively 36 and 39 years old, of Albanian nationality, were arrested as claimed. perpetrators of an offense against public health and another of falsification of documentsl, the marijuana plants seized.

Due to the facts indicated, the corresponding procedures were carried out by the Civil Guard Station of Teruel, the procedures and the detainees being made available to the Court of Instruction of Teruel.

The offense against public health can result in a prison sentence of one to three years. For its part, the offense of falsification of documents can be punishable by a prison sentence of six months to three years and a fine of six to twelve months.
