The National Police has arrested five peopletwo men and three women, in Talavera de la Reina (Toledo) as presumed responsible for the crimes of drug trafficking and membership in a criminal group.
The investigation began in mid-July, when officers investigating drug trafficking crimes in the city and region received anonymous tips pointing to a group of people as suspected members of a group. group dedicated to cocaine distribution in two hotel establishments in Talavera de la Reina.
Agents were able to confirm that the main leader of this organization and his mother were selling narcotics “at retail” in a commercial establishment. Additionally, they used third parties to carry out this criminal activity, including two women who lent their homes to sell drugs both consumers and other traffickers.
Finally, on the night of September 27, one of the suspects was arrested as he prepared to bring into the city a kilo of cocaine that he had previously acquired in Madrid. Another person investigated managed to flee the police, but was arrested the next day along with the rest of the group members.
During the search of the three homes and premises used by those arrested, numerous individual doses ready for sale were seized, 60 grams of hashish, 97 grams of marijuana, 3,070 euros in casha Taser gun, six cell phones, two precision scales, three vehicles – including a high-end one – and a multitude of stolen belongings.
The detainees are accused of the offenses of drug trafficking, membership of a criminal group, illegal possession of weapons, damage, attacks against the police, theft of civil status and receiving stolen property. .
On the other hand, and thanks to the system prior to the celebration of the San Mateo Fairs that the National Police put in place a few weeks before the celebration of the festival, 153 cocaine “papers” – approximately 103 – were removed from the circuits illicit. grams market – and three people were arrested as suspected perpetrators of a drug trafficking crime; one of them was also detained as a member of the dismantled criminal group.
This is the second operation of this nature carried out at the Talavera de la Reina police station in recent months. Since last July, three other people who brought a kilo of cocaine into the city have also been arrested.
