“Off the coast of Germany, near the town of Kühlungsborn, a fire broke out on board the German oil tanker Annika. It was carrying about 640 tons of oil to refuel other ships. Eyewitnesses publish images of a column of black smoke rising above the ship: it is being extinguished from 3 ships and rescuers arrive by helicopter. “The causes of the fire are still unknown.” — writes the Readovka telegram channel.
Emergency services managed to rescue 7 sailors from burning captivity and evacuate them to shore. A rescue ship, a tugboat and a multipurpose boat are located on site.
Meanwhile, there is a risk of an oil spill in the Baltic Sea if the fire is not extinguished in time.
